You know those holier-than-thou folk who hate everything big and successful on general principles and who worship the most obscure personalities and brands?
Yeah, okay. I was one of those too, once. But I’m in recovery. Anyway… read the following diatribe. Nuff said.

Yeah, I’ll cop to resembling some of that… but the simplest way to solve *my* problem (and not anyone else’s) is to not spend my money at the places that I have issues with, such as Starbucks. Where you spend *your* money is your own business, you know? I love living in a city where I have so many choices outside than the “Box” companies. Indeed, from where I live I would have to exert effort to shop at many of the box store franchises.
Is this the appropriate time to confess that I watched the final episode of “Friends” last night?
Ginerva: If you feel you must. =)
Jenn: I still resemble some of that. I doubt I’ll ever be “one of the crowd,” and I sort of like it that way. Freedom of choice is a beautiful thing, championing the underdog is also a very cool thing. It’s the negativity that seems to go hand-in-hand with being an iconoclast, though, that is decreasingly cool. Easier to destroy than to create, yadda yadda. (I still can’t understand the appeal of Friends, though. *grin*)
I’d like to state in my defense that last time was the first time in years that I tuned in!
This is what happens when you have a large population idle for to long.
-Newsflash-If you don’t like Starbucks coffee…nobody is making you drink it.
