PAST: Trebuchet or battering ram?
PRESENT: Stealth bomber or cruise missile?
FUTURE: Mass driver or particle beam?
The seed idea this week is “seige weaponry,” brought to you by an evening spent playing Age of Mythology. (Ah, I love the Age games.) I admit it’s sort of an odd choice, but I’m in an odd mood tonight… so you’ll just have to deal with it. You are, as always, encouraged to have fun with your answers. Thank you for playing, and don’t forget to comment so we know you were here!

Now doing the “I hit the submit button too many times” dance…
What IS a trebuchet, anyway? Or a mass driver?
Bombs away!
Hmmm… And here I thought it was in honor of “Timeline” coming out…
Past: Trebuchet at first, and battering ram for up-close and personal assaults.
Present: Stealth bomber… The new cruise missile isn’t as accurate anymore – or perhaps that has to do with who’s launching it…
Future: Particle beam, of course… Jeez. Anyone who has watched Star Trek should know that it works remarkably well…

Done and up!
Past: Trebuchet – when weilded properly performs both jobs.
Present: Cruise missile – the Gulf War made a serious point on the effectivity of a three-meter accuracy waepon.
Future: particle beam – too much collateral damage with a mass driver as a planetary attack weapon. Ship-to-ship, go with the Gauss rifle.
