Let it slush, let it slush, let it slush…

‘Twas a bit damp out this morning on the way to work. What started out as cold rain with some white stuff mixed into it quickly became a slush storm. In fact, you could call it…

The Great Slush Storm of 2003!

That is, if you were thinking like a local news organization. Which I don’t advise, personally.

Anyway, I was walking to work from the bus stop and as I walked underneath the Ross Island Bridge I realized that it was a perfect place from which to snap pictures:

Neat, huh? Mind you, it made the walk to work sort of interesting. See, I didn’t think to put on my “bad weather” shoes. Whoops. I didn’t fall, but I did slip a few times.

Nevermind that my umbrella kept getting heavier and heavier. At one point I thought, “Why is my arm getting so tired?”

“Oh yeah. Duh.”

So, what’s the weather like in your neck of the woods, eh? I bet it’s not as much fun as this today!

K, … maybe I’m sick and wrong, but i love that white slushy stuff.. the only i don’t like is freezing rain. Everything else is fun to play in. Today in Corvallis we just have heavy rains, light to gusty winds… mostly rain.

okay, it’s noon, and there is a half inch of snow at GD’s house in SE. It’s been snowing for three hours and shows no sign of stopping.

It’s supposed to be in the 80s again this week. I hate Texas.

Sunny and warm in Denver. High temps near 70. Tomorrow it’s supposed to be in the 50’s, then Saturday in the 20’s. Wheeee.

So what happens when you think like a local news organization and would think of the same exact thing? Oh, wait… that would be an affirmative in my case… now was there snow on some of the cars driving? If so, then we’ll compare notes *grin*

standard report from the South Coast- cold, wet, windy.

I have lost faith in Weatherunderground… i’m about 1/8 of a mile form the NB airport and the sticker has read “overcast” all day so far. pah.

Well, for my two cents worth, I can only hope that it doesn’t freeze overnight. This would REALLY suck for driving tomorrow morning…

I was astonished and flat-out horrified to see a couple inches of snow on my van when I woke up today, with the stuff still coming down. So in protest, I frantically started Spring Cleaning, in the hopes it would encourage the nasty winter-ish weather to GO AWAY! 4 hours later, the cat was furious with me due to all the vacuuming, fresh & clean scents were everywhere, and my house looked BEE-YOU-TEE-FUL–and the snow/slush was starting to melt! Yay!

Then I had to go to work. *sigh*

And now, you can come and help me finish cleaning my house with nice, clean, fresh-spring-type scents… right? HA!
