Satisfactory: FICSMAS Redux

One of these years I’ll be playing the same save over two successive winters. This… is not that year.

Yes, I’m making the “heart” gesture at this gift box. It’s the last one I’ll see this year! I’ll miss them, dagnabbit.

A lot happened this week but there’s not much to say, so you get blurbs and pictures. Enjoy!

Obviously, it’s FICSMAS-time again. Presents falling out of the sky, much snarky ADA commentary about what a waste of time this all is, festive decorations, etc. I’m taking the lessons learned from last year’s event and hope to make a good-looking Ficsmasland for the ages, this time around.

Once you build enough of these “gift trees” the air-dropped gift bundles stop parachuting down from the sky. I have mixed feelings about this, but in the name of efficiency I guess I’ll live with it.

The seasonal event is well-timed as I’m waiting for all the Phase 3 products to get ready to send skyward. I completed work out at the Blue Crater and at this point it’s just a matter of patience, or at least active distraction. Along with the chasing of falling gift boxes, I threw together a recycling plant:

Waste products go in, Solid Biofuel and Tickets come out. Yes, it needs walls and roofing and whatnot.

As well as a replacement basic iron products factory:

Iron ore goes in, Iron Plate and Iron Rods and Reinforced Iron Plate and Modular Frames and Rotors go… into Dimensional Depots. No, not Screws. Eff Screws.

With the (mostly) proper Ironworks built I’m free to finally rip out the slapdash starter iron products production equipment littering the neighborhood. I don’t yet know what (if anything) to do with this space, but “enshrine the earlier jank” is absolutely not on my TODO list with this save.

Let’s be honest, the odds on a train station ending up here at some point later on are non-zero.

The main immediate goal, of course, is to send up the Phase 3 shipment… which is almost ready:

Satisfactory video game screenshot: HUD display of the current main game objective, "Complete Phase 3", indicating that all 2500 Versatile Framework and all 100 Adaptive Control Units are loaded into the elevator. Only 428 of 500 Modular Engines are loaded yet, however.

Aluminum products, the Hoverpack, drones, and nuclear power await me. Soon. Soon.
