Do you ever wonder who the first person was to try the taste of a pineapple’s innards, and what they were thinking?
Do you ever stare at an item and imagine the path it took from original concept to finished product?
Do you ever create a film in your imagination of how something happened, like a ding in the windshield or the presence of a couch where one clearly doesn’t ordinarily belong?
Do you ever wonder what drives you to continue something long past the time you forgot what made you start in the first place?
Do you ever wonder why they picked the letter “M” for M&Ms?
(Oh. Cool!)
As I rack up my 900th posting here, these are among the many questions that are always running through my mind. What about you? What do you wonder about?

Hmmm… why the world doesn’t really end when something doesn’t go my way. Why I can’t justify taking sick days more often. Why I let certain things stay in my fridge long past their expiration date. Why I’m commenting here instead of doing my work. Ahh, the joy of unanswered questions!
I am still curious as to what sick bastard in Japan decided he wanted to eat a blowfish so bad as to develop a technique of preparing the toxic little critter so it wouldn’t be lethal. You *know* there had to be more than a few oopsies. Test kitchens should not require hazard pay.
A journal entry of a thousand “wonder whats” begins with a single question. Or something like that. =)
You mean navel-gazing? Did the navel gazing begat the “wonder whats,” or did the “wonder whats” begat the navel gazing? We may never know.
Depends upon whose navel you’re gazing, perhaps. If that’s your thing. Nothing wrong with you if it is, of course. Weirdo.
*grin*
I wonder too much to even consider starting to write it all down. At least not publicly. *sigh*
