PAST: Because we haven’t delved deeply into childhood trauma lately, tell us about the scariest event from your youth.
PRESENT: Creepy-crawlies? Heights? Large dogs? Oblivion? What are your phobias nowadays?
FUTURE: Who (or what) do you want to be for Halloween? Price and practicality are no object, here.
Imagine that, a Halloween-themed PPF. I’m sure you’re all amazed. Leave a comment with your answers or a link thereto, and when you link back please use the handy-dandy permalink below. Thank you, and I hope you have a ghoulishly grand time tonight!

I’m first because I rule.
Past: Scariest event from your youth:
That would be the time I was approximately 12 years old, and my mother and sister, 17 at the time, got into the worst screaming match I’d ever heard. I curled up under my bed with my pink blanket while I listened, watching out into the hall as my sister stormed out of the house. Then I watched as my mother stormed up the stairs, screaming incomprehensibles at my father, who was trying to get her to calm down. She didn’t. She packed belongings into a suitcase, and out of the house she went. My father followed. No one bothered to check on me. I didn’t know what was going on, I didn’t know if my mother would be back. She didn’t come back for a week. It was very scary. And yay, that’s where my fear of abandonment came from. Well, that, and my husband deciding he wanted a divorce rather suddenly and giving me no choice in the matter. Gee, I’m just one big fucking ray of sunshine today.
Present: Fears
Abandonment. Spiders. Stairs. Thunderstorms. Death. All of these phobias are severe, debilitating fears.
Future: Halloween costume:
I’d like to be a Priestess of Avalon. Probably because I recently watched Mists of Avalon.
Mine are up! Happy Halloween, all!
PAST: Because we haven’t delved deeply into childhood trauma lately, tell us about the scariest event from your youth.
I don’t remember anything truly scary when I was young… I lived in a haunted house for 10 years, but wasn’t scared – instead, I was fascinated, and always felt like whomever still lived there was watching out for me.
PRESENT: Creepy-crawlies? Heights? Large dogs? Oblivion? What are your phobias nowadays?
Clowns, cockroaches, Rottweilers… That’s pretty much it. That is to say, I would most likely be squeemish to say – eat a bug – but it’s not a phobia…
FUTURE: Who (or what) do you want to be for Halloween? Price and practicality are no object, here.
I guess I’d want to be myself, only thinner… with a record contract…
OK – so, on a comletely non-PPF related subject, I wanna have a random quote generator on my diary… Whaaaaaa… Of course, then I’d have to actually get some quotes to put in it…
I be up
Up!
