PAST: How amazing! A little box with a telescoping bit of metal and two knobs, out of which comes a variety of noises! What’s the earliest experience with radio you can remember?
PRESENT: If you listen to anything on the dial at all nowadays, what does it tend to be?
FUTURE: In a dystopian (or utopian) future where nobody really listens to radio anymore and the big corporations have all left the game, you’re given control of a big antenna on a hill somewhere to do with as you please. How will you choose to abuse the airwaves?
Once again, please comment with either your answers or the location elsewhere thereof. Thank you! The permalink back to the most current PPF is just below.

All right. I’m in.
past: I don’t really have a first. I’d say my my most memorable/traumatic memory would be riding with my sister and her boyfriend and him biting me when I tried to change the channel
Present: 96.7 the only station that really rocks I-ROCK. Kind of crappy, but better than the pop station 😛
Future: Whatever I like. Indie to showtunes, to weird covers. Maybe I’d be nice and play some requests too, but I feel no need to limit myself to a coherent genre 😛
Dammit, I was an hour too late to actually catch it on friday 😛
Better late than never!
I am also late. For some reason I can’t cut and paste from the PPF entry in Internet Exploder, but I can in Opera.
I blame Bill Gates.
I have now finished my PPF @ 2:45am on this fine morning. Yay! So, I’m posted. Thanks Duckie for something fun to do in the wee hours of the morning. What would we do without you? I mean really? A world without the PPF for friday diversion is a truly sad place… much tired loves and hugs – me
Here are my answers. . .
PAST: My first memory of the radio was hearing it in the car when I was like 7 or 8. I don’t think my family listened to a lot of music when I was little.
PRESENT: Right now I listen to classic rock. . .except all of the good CR stations have been eaten up by Clearchannel. . .and ultimately get disbanded because they’re “not what people listen to” (i.e. not teeny-bopper $#!^)
FUTURE: If I had the ability to broadcast out something, I would play all-request, all the time. It would be like college radio all over again!
