  • Where do you go from here? I’ll tell you where.

I know, this thing’s pretty boring and you want somewhere else to be. There’s no Blogathon webring here (so how did you find me?) so… where can you go from here?

Go visit Mari. She’s cute, funny, smart, and doesn’t take stupidity laying down. (What she does take laying down is her business, not mine or yours.) Mari has been my friend longer than almost anybody else, and she’s damned good at being a real friend. You know, the kind who tells you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear. She rocks, I tell you. Have I mentioned that she’s the Imperial Princess of Cute? Well, now you know.

Go visit Lilith. She’s sassy, forthright, principled and (oh yeah) sexy. We met because I was looking for taglines (most of the randomly-selected tags you see at the top of this page come from her collection) and what resulted was a quirky, fascinating friendship. Lil’s always trying to figure out what makes relationships tick, and has provided all kinds of valuable insight as I try to readjust and reorient my view of such things. Beyond that, she has a naughty turn of mind that comes through in unexpected and delightful ways.

Go visit Dawn. She’s the snarky, spiffy gal who roped me into an ongoing involvement with Sakura-Con, not to mention she’s the most generous contributor to my anime library. Supposedly she plays a mean game of Soul Calibur, but test results are inconclusive so far. (Heh.) We’re on one another’s brainwave far, far too often, though that can be a lot of fun. Dawn’s a die-hard Clamp fangirl, but I try not to tease her about that too much. (“Chii!”) Hey, how many people do you know of who named a computer Washuu? (That would be two, now.)

Hey, that was fun. I’ll have to do more of that… later. Stay tuned!

  • Thirty Yards To The Outhouse, by Willie Makeit.

    According to an ever-so-scientific quiz,

    50 %

    There’s a 50 % chance that I’ll survive the ‘thon.
    Will you survive the Blogathon?

Feh! I’ll survive this thing, dammit. I’ll even complete it! (Heh.)

  • Wendi, back and gone again.

Wendi arrived from her DJ gig, flush with tip money. Woo hoo! I unloaded her van, and now she’s off to the store to pick up things we’ll need for tomorrow and what-not. Then she’s going to hit the hay since she has another very busy day ahead.

Lucky her. Sorta. At least I’ll have the luxury of sleeping parts of my day away tomorrow.

  • A full hour of… bunnies!

Don’t thank me, thank my sponsors!

Next time, a real entry. Honest…

  • Past, Present, Future – Round Twenty-three

PAST: Sometimes it’s amazing the creatures we found fascinating as children that we’re either indifferent to now or even find actively disgusting and creepy. In my case, I am astounded when I think about those lazy summer days trapping garden spiders in jars. (Yeah, it’s making my flesh crawl just thinking about it.) Do you have a similar experience, or am I on my own here?

PRESENT: This week’s dull and prosaic question is, what creatures great and small do you care for in or around your home?

FUTURE: “If I could talk to the animals, walk with the animals…” Well, what would you say to them? That is, of course, if you thought for a minute that they were even remotely interested.

Leave your cute, cuddly-wuddly link or your precious, fuzzy-wuzzy answers in the comments just below. And when you send people back here, use the http://greyduck.net/ppf link to be sure they get the latest one. Thanks once again!

  • Folks love the bunnies.

So I checked my email after we got back from our trip to the coast (details and pictures to follow at some point this evening) to find that a handful of nifty people had seen fit to push my Blogathon sponsorship tally well past the $150 mark.

You know what that means, don’t you?

    Cute, cuddly bunny pictures.

Proof of cuteness will appear bright and early… bright-eyed and bushy-tailed… tomorrow morning as I kick off my Blogathon run.

Thank you Sarah, Dave, and the inseparable team that is Lilith & Geoffrey! The total stands at $173… easily $100 more than I expected to generate.

UPDATE: I forgot to mention Mari! Ack! I’m so sorry! How can I make it up to you? How, I ask!
