It’s been a busy week and today promises to be the capper, so let’s get right on with this, what say?
PAST: When we’re kids we want to be noticed, adored, and most of all, world-famous. What crazy, improbable scheme did you plan to ride to the top?
PRESENT: What would you like to be famous for now?
FUTURE: The eyes of the world are upon you as you stand, award clasped to your chest, before the cameras. Who, in your acceptance speech, do you thank?
Leave a comment either with your answers or a link to them, and if you link to the PPF use the usual URL (http://greyduck.net/ppf/) which will always direct visitors to the most recent entry. Thanks!
(Once again, my answers will show up in the comments… eventually. There’s lots to do today. *sigh*)

Mine are all set!
Done 🙂
Late, but done! I’ll try to put a reminder in my PDA or something so I am more prompt next time.
Past: I was repeatedly told three things, growing up. One, that I was funny. Two, that I had a great voice “for radio.” Three, that I was a good writer. So I was going to be a comedian, a DJ, a writer or a superhero.
Present: You mean, other than one of the above? Hmm. Nope, I’ve got nothing. Has to be one of those four.
Future: “I’d like to thank my family, my friends, and my inspirations. Yadda yadda yadda…”
This is scary… Usually I’m one of the last (if not *the* last) to fill out the PPF and not the first. *evil grin*
Mine is up!

I planned first on being a ballarina (when I was 5) then a singer (when I got older and realized I was too heavy to dance well). I was going to be the next Karen Carpenter, a young star with a gorgeous voice and sparkling personality… My plan was to make my parents take me to Star Search and once they heard me my success would be assured.
PRESENT: What would you like to be famous for now?
Singing would be good, but also writing, which seems to be holding me in its grasp lately…
FUTURE: The eyes of the world are upon you as you stand, award clasped to your chest, before the cameras. Who, in your acceptance speech, do you thank?
I’d like a moment to breathe, here. If you’d told me 10 years ago that I would be winning a Grammy tonight, I’d have laughed at you. Many things can happen in 10 years, and many things did, at least for me. I’d like to start by thanking my Mom – without her support and love I’d never have gone this far in life. My friends – Lilith, Geoffrey, Kate, Vlad – You’ve made my life so special with you in it. Thank you for making this journey with me. To my producers for having the faith and determination enough to keep me going even when I wanted to scream. To my family, who knows how tempermental I can be, and still wants and loves me. And to my fans, without whom I wouldn’t be here tonight. Thank you all so very much.
Mine, good sir, is posted. (I hope.) … (my blog has been acting irritatingly tricksy lately… *sigh*)
Okay, mine are up. *cough, hack, whimper*
