    I’ve never been there (although I’m certainly closer to it than you are), but every once in a while there’s an article on it in our paper re: people crossing the “codemned” signs and roasting marshmallows at the open pits where heat from the mine fires comes out.

    Pennsylvania’s full of collapsible mining towns. . .and the Amish.
