Satisfactory: Yeah That Tracks

I did, in fact, run a set of rails all along the entirety of the Northern Forest in my current solo Satisfactory save.

Not the most efficient way to get from Up Here to Down There, sure, but it was a funny idea so I did it.

And a bit beyond. Kind of.

It’s a short update this week, as all I did in-game was expand the rail network. Most importantly I connected several existing intersections to complete the core elements of a north-central network area. I can get any train to any part of the map I want, now. I made sure to include a few intersections so I can branch off of the “main line” for new factory projects if needed.

But that’s it. I didn’t do more with vehicle paths (I have yet to put a wheeled-vehicle goods transport system into active service) and for certain I didn’t actually start (let alone complete) any factories.

Not having tried running rail through the Northern Forest at this elevation, I have no idea if this placement is going to come back to haunt me later…

Hopefully by next week I’ll have at least a solid start on the 30-per-minute Crystal Oscillators site I need in order to cover the needs of my end-game factories. (At least, I’m hoping that’s enough…) First I need to decide where to build “Crystal Os II,” though. Hmm.
