I have an organized collection of music files here on my computer, but I don’t rip all of every CD I have for my listening pleasure. This means that I have a catch-all directory, and when I got done listening to some anime soundtrack selections I decided to queue up a few tracks out of “AllTheRest.”

A few. Okay, it totals three and a half hours of music, and it’ll give you an idea of the kinds of things I listen to:

  • Snacky Goodness

Wendi and the kids have returned. The children are cleaning their room in anticipation of The Great Bunny Photo Shoot, and Wendi’s preparing for her impending DJ gig. Me, I’m chowing on Wheat Thins, drinking Mug root beer, and looking forward to lots of orange juice, corn dogs and chicken.

That’s right. We now how to live, baby.

  • Blogathon – One Third Complete

After eight hours, I can safely say that I’m well on pace to manage another sixteen hours of this nonsense. It’s all for a good cause, right? Doing the right thing is where it’s at!

(Erica learned a pointed lesson just now. She offered to vacuum their bedroom’s floor, then decided she didn’t ‘want to,’ badgering Alex into doing it. So she pouted and got her way, then assumed she’d get to jump onto the Dreamcast while Alex did her chosen chore. Uh, no. Alex gets first crack at the gaming console, kiddo.)

(So now she’s in there vacuuming, having offered to do ‘the other half’ of the chore. Heh.)

What do you know? What’s going on around me really does provide a rich source of writing material. Imagine the hell outta that…

  • The Great Bunny Photo Shoot

So I’ve just spent the last twenty minutes trying to take good pictures of bunny rabbits. (Is there some other kind?) I ran out the battery on my camera, and I came away with… lots of blurry pictures. (Or would that be, fuzzy pictures?) Turns out I should’ve listened when my camera told me it wasn’t happy with the range and lighting, eh?

I went in for some re-shoots, and I’m about to go through and pick out all of the usable shots. If all goes well, you’ll get bunny pictures galore with the next update. Hang in there, folks! The bunnies are coming!

  • Bunnies! And more bunnies!

After delays and frustrations (and loading Wendi’s van), we proudly present… bunnies!

Don’t worry, bunny fans! More cute pictures will appear over the course of the Blogathon!

  • Yakkity Yakkity Yakkity

I would’ve had a longer, more interesting journal entry here. Really I would. I even said so last time, that there’d be a real journal entry “next time.”

Instead I was on the phone for most of half an hour with Lilith, and dammit if that doesn’t beat typing out an entry any old day. I love talking with her, even if it’s just on the phone and just so she can rant for a while. When that was done, just when I thought it was safe to sit at the keyboard, Mari called! Ah, my dear friends, it’s so good to hear your voices.

I’m thinking it’s almost dinnertime. What do you think?
