Zero is back to (almost) full running capability once again. This time around I decided to take notes, so the next time I build a Linux From Scratch rig I know what all the hoops and hurdles and caveats are in advance. To that end, there are three files I’d like to share so others can reap the benefit of my hard work. Or something noble like that.
Zero Build Notes: This is the raw brain-dump text file I typed up every time something bad happened that needed fixing. I’ll update this file as I experience more bizarre installation trauma.
modules.conf: Only notable if you don’t feel like reading the Alsa documentation or something.
LFS Profile: Working implementation of an /etc/profile. Rather nice, really.
If requested, I’ll create a download site containing the “after LFS” software tarballs I use on my servers. Fcron, Qmail, Mozilla, Nail, Alsa, image libraries, Enlightenment and prerequisites… all kinds of stuff. Just ask.
