  • Ogg in Cool Edit & Audition!

Continuing on from my previous entry, I have another useful link for you: The Ogg Vorbis filter for Cool Edit Pro/2000 and their successor, Adobe’s Audition.

I’m learning how to do multitrack editing in Cool Edit 2000. It’s not wholly intuitive, but then again I haven’t played with very many other multitrack audio editing systems either. I imagine I’ll get the hang of it soon enough. I’ve already placed my synthesized voice bits and the first music segment. Now I just need to drop in a few more snippets, get the crossfades right, mix it down to an MP3, upload the file, and… oh yeah, write up a review.

Have I gotten myself in over my head? Maybe, but I look at it this way: I shouldn’t run out of Blogathon entries any time soon!

  • Subtle, isn’t it?

Hey, look! I’m on a webring! I’m one of the hip, trendy, cool kids now!

Okay, so it’s a mandatory thing for the Blogathon. It’s there so the Blogathon site-watching teams can easily skip from site to site to site checking up on us, the participants.

Right! This is a good opportunity to remind you that there’s still plenty of time left for you (yes you!) to be a sponsor! Here’s how. Here’s my campaign page. Heeeeeeeeeere’s Johnny!

(I’m in a darkly whimsical mood today. Deal with it.)

  • New name, same old claptrap.

You think that you can generally ignore the quacks who are touting “Intelligent Design” (the new name for Creationism, in case you hadn’t heard), and then you find that the erstwhile “leader of the free world” is in their camp.

This is just one more reason to loathe the current state of politics in this country, I suppose.

  • One week…

You have less than a week remaining during which you can pledge your sponsorship of my Blogathon 2005 efforts.

    Just so you know.

  • Mmm, Chocolate. (It’s good for you!)

I’ll just get out of the way and point you to the following entry at collision detection.

    ‘Nuff said.

  • Shilling For The Cause

With a week and a half to go, I have… two sponsors for this year’s Blogathon? C’mon, people. You have a golden opportunity to shell out a few dollars for a worthy cause, and contribute to my sleepless misery. What more could you want? Rubber ducks performing Shakespeare?

Okay. I understand that not everyone can a) spare the cash or b) get behind my choice of monetary recipients. I understand. But you will be around to cheer me on, right? Right?

(And yes, you can expect at least a couple more reminders posted here between now and the 6th of August. Hey, it saves me having to come up with original content for a couple of days…)
