  • Bad Dad, no biscuit.

Duh! Unlike what my previous posting might have said, I really do have something interesting to say: Today I become the father of a teenager. That’s right, Alexander “The Spud” Kerezman turns 13 today.

Happy Birthday, my boy. I’m outstandingly proud of you, more than words can adequately express.

  • Another personality quiz, eh?

In lieu of actually having something interesting to say, I present you with…

Whoah. Did you get all that?

Apparently if I’d been a smidgen less extroverted and/or a smidgen more inquisitive, I’d actually have been in the right city, according to the full results page’s breakdown of which cities are “the most” for a given trait.

Of course like all such quizzes it’s worth just about as much as the electrons it’s displayed with…

  • Cleaning Jag

From time to time I get on a bit of a cleaning jag. For instance, today I was going to run a load of dishes and wipe down the sink. I went from that to wiping down the fridge and the dishwasher itself as well as cleaning the inside of the microwave (a job worth doing, no doubt about it).

So now I’m sweaty, tired, and have a bad case of prunefinger. But hey, cleanliness is next to… somethingsomething… right?

  • Ah, bliss.

    Happiness is…

…not having to get up at five-something in the morning on a Saturday.

That will be all. Thank you.

  • That’ll set him straight, for sure.

Via William Bragg, the following bit from Bradford Plumer in response to what is one of the most absurdly paranoid bits of anti-gay sentiment I’ve seen in a while.

  • Let sit in what?

In theory: You follow the instructions on the box, heating up your frozen entree in the microwave and then, as indicated, “let sit for one to two minutes.”

In practice: You get your food out of the microwave as soon as it’s hot enough to eat so that the three people behind you in the lunchroom queue don’t string you up by your toes for obstruction of mealtime.
