After procrastinating for several nights, I have finally parked my buttocks out in the living room with the Tenchi DVDs and finished off the most recent episode of TMTT. Go forth and enjoy! (I am so glad that the problem was with the computer DVD-ROM drive and not the disc itself. Whew.)
In semi-related news, I patched Adobe Premiere and my initial tests indicate that the scrubbing problem has gone away. Once TMTT is completed I’ll devote more time to my next music video. Yay!
Nine episodes down, four to go as Sasami And Tsunami hits the TMTT archive. As cool as that is, what’s even cooler is that I’m getting referrals from ToastyFrog himself!
It is both disturbing and entertaining to me that there are much better TT variations out there than my modest little efforts. Take, for instance, the X Handpuppet Theater. Absolutely badass, I assure you. And we mustn’t forget EK’s lovely Cowboy Bebop TTs which inspired me to create TMTT in the first place. Perhaps most disturing of the links Toastyfrog provides isn’t to an anime-related Thumbnail Theater at all, but instead to a Fellowship of the Rings rendition. Fly, you fools.
As of today I’m back on the job. That’s right, another fine episode of Tenchi Muyo Thumbnail Theater has just been delivered. This makes eight completed episodes with only five more to go!
If I can keep the same schedule as I did for the first batch I should be done by the end of the weekend. Then I can start preparing for my next music video…
As of some time yesterday, four of the thirteen available episodes of the Tenchi Muyo OAV have been transmogrified into Thumbnail Theater episodes. Halleluiah.
Having introduced most of the main cast we now arrive at the obligatory two episodes of crisis for our intrepid crew, in the form of Kagato and his (stolen) battlefortress Souja. I’m going to try to get both Kagato Attacks! and We need Tenchi! done in one sitting tonight, as they are a kind of two-part episode and it would be a shame to lose the momentum going into the second half of the story. Wish me luck.
A new site feature is unveiled today: The Tenchi Muyo Thumbnail Theater. I’m taking each of the 13 OAV episodes and, well, ripping them a new one.
It helps to be a Tenchi fan to read TMTT, but you might get something out of it even if you’re not.
