When I was building this website, I tried to come up with better channel definitions than I had used on the old Zero site. In terms of Media Reviews, the only viable category was Books, so that was carried over while the other Media channels were dropped.
This time around I’ve added TV and Games, and the next time I actually see a movie in the theater you can be sure I’ll add a Movies category. In the meantime, feel free to peruse the one existing entry under Games: Links LS 1999.

Every now and then someone decides to really take an idea and run with it, just to show how it can be done. In this case, Daily CSS Fun is a project devoted to showcasing how really, really good layout can be achieved entirely through Cascading Style Sheets manipulation. More to the point, how the exact same HTML document can be displayed in a dizzying variety of ways simply by modifying the linked stylesheet.
I know how I’m spending my February allotment of geekery: ripping apart this guy’s stylesheets!

Are we alone in the universe? Maybe, maybe not, but one of the biggest, coolest computing projects known to mankind is still running strong. That’s right, I’m talking about the SETI@Home project!
And what makes it cool to me? Well, other than all the cool astronomy and other science involved, it’s that they generate little certificates for processing milestones… like this one.
Now don’t you wish you were as cool as I?
Because I can’t resist the temptation to indulge in the latest, greatest goofy web-design trend, there’s now ‘favicon’ support on this site. If you notice the super-scaled-down version of my Deviant Picture adorning the address bar, bookmark or browser tab while surfing here… good for you.
And if you actually have bookmarked this site and you aren’t me, please don’t tell me. I’d simply faint dead away.
You’ll notice that along the left is a link to the “Office” camera. Yes, it works. It’s a 60-second refreshing webcam attached to a test server in my office. I’ll probably end up moving it over to Zero later on, but this configuration will suit my needs for the time being.
Next on the agenda? Improve the overall look of this site. I’m thinking of going to a three-column rig… calendar and other Monaural Jerk stuff (channels, media) on the right and regular links and what-not on the left. What do you think, sirs?
