Lumina on the Holladay Park Fountain

I freely admit that this one’s a bit of a cheat. Lumina is clearly just on the ground, here. But since the fountain is built into the brick surface of the park, and this picture came out so nicely, and I make the rules here anyway, I’m allowing it.

There’s a bit of a Dutch angle thing going on here. I don’t remember why I went with the shot that is so tilted. Sorry about that.

At some point, the fine City of Portland decided that some streets would look better with fewer cars and more concrete planters full of flowers. Who am I to pass up the provided opportunity?

Tolo on a Very Small Bus Stop Bench

I understand why TriMet went with these tiny “benches” at some bus stops around town, but they seem so small that they’re almost not worth the bother. Almost.

Also I wish I’d taken more of these pictures with the Tolo duck. I’m not just saying that because of its resemblance to the Florentijn Hofman floating duck, either. It’s a good-looking duck! Unfortunately, Tolo’s one of the larger members of my flock and that means specifically planning a trip around such a photo session.

I think they meant to say, “Automobile and duck traffic only.”
