In this case the urge was partially fueled by the fact that my "old" theme was merely a set of cheap hacks to a theme designed for an older version of WordPress, thus it both couldn't easily be enhanced and made site tweaking much more tedious than necessary or desirable. I'm not quite "done" with it yet, but so far I'm rather pleased with how the redecoration is going... You know how it goes… when you get to a certain place, emotionally, you get an irresitible urge to redecorate.
