If you reload the page a few times, Spud, you should find that it’s now black text on a grey background. CSS doesn’t necessarily get reloaded every time you view a page, so it may take a few times to see the final results.

I was amused to see the “usability issue” myself, the first time I tried the search field out after seeing this post.

Now, the search form uses gray text on a darker gray box on a lighter gray background.

Of course, I had never noticed this problem before now.
